‘Fears are mounting that up to 1,000 people could have died under the mud that ripped through Freetown, Sierra Leone, last week.

More than 450 victims are already confirmed to have died, after part of a mountain on the outskirts of the capital city caved in following heavy rain.

But it is believed the number of missing could exceed 600, and hopes are dimming for their chances of survival.

Rescue officials have warned that the chances of finding survivors “are getting smaller every day”.’

‘A NASA scientist has spoken out about the true threat of supervolcanoes and the risky methods that could be used to prevent a devastating eruption.
Brian Wilcox, a former member of the NASA Advisory Council on Planetary Defense, shared a report on the natural hazard that hadn’t been seen outside of the agency until now.

He spoke of the true devastation that could come from an eruption, and the ‘risky’ methods that the agency is considering for preventing one – including approaches that could potentially go array and set off a supervolcano accidentally.

One such plan would involve drilling into the bottom of the Yellowstone volcano, using high pressure water to release heat from the magma chamber.’

‘(Natural News) Whether they’re debating a co-worker in the break room or making a movie with a bunch of oversized powerpoint slides, one thing radical environmentalists always seem to do is conveniently leave out any facts that go against their “global-warming-is-going-to-kill-us-all” argument. For example, they have no problem arguing that sea ice is going to melt and water levels will rise due to increasing global temperatures, but they leave out the fact that Antarctic sea ice has actually expanded in recent years. They tell us that carbon emissions are reaching astronomical levels, but conveniently leave out the fact that the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has been much higher thousands of years prior to the industrial revolution. This is how they sell their agenda to the American people – through lies, half-truths and misinformation.

Yet another example comes from a recent study conducted by the European Commission and the Joint Research Center, which found that heat waves with temperatures of 55 degrees Celsius (or 131 degrees Fahrenheit) would begin to emerge if global warmingcontinues. “Heatwaves amplified by high humidity can reach above 40°C and may occur as often as every two years, leading to serious risks for human health,” the study explains. “If global temperatures rise with 4°C, a new super heatwave of 55°C can hit regularly in many parts of the world, including Europe.”’

‘The BBC has come under fire for allowing former chancellor Nigel Lawson to discuss climate change – which he described as “clap trap” – on the Today programme.

The Green Party has lodged an official complaint and the broadcaster was criticised by prominent scientists Brian Cox and Jim Al-Khalili, who said it was “irresponsible and highly misleading” to suggest major environmental threats were a debatable issue.

Lord Lawson, responding to an intervention on the dangers of climate change by former US vice president Al Gore, said: “It’s the same old clap-trap. He’s the sort of bloke who goes around saying the end of the world is nigh.’

‘In promotion of his latest film, “An Inconvenient Sequel,” former vice president and global warming activist Al Gore is still desperately trying to make the case that planet earth is heating up, and that only carbon taxes can fix it. But as per usual, he failed miserably during a recent CNN town hall with Anderson Cooper, during which a commercial crabber and local mayor explained that sea levels around his tiny island have remained the same for over half a century.

James Eskridge oversees the day-to-day activities on Tangier Island, in Virginia, and he’s been fishing crab there for decades. He’s quite familiar with the tides, the currents, and various other elements in and around the coastal terrain. And other than an ongoing problem related to erosion, in which the shorelines of Tangier Island are progressively disappearing due to constant waves and storms, he says that everything is exactly the same as it’s always been, at least as far as ocean levels are concerned.’

David Icke – Climate Change Isn’t What You Think It Is

‘Each day, farmers face real-world challenges to produce food, especially in countries where their lives depend upon agricultural success. Managing natural resources and crop yields in the face of unpredictable weather is a daunting task. African farmers face irregular seasons of drought; therefore they must breed and select the right drought-tolerant and insect-resistant hybrids in order to maintain their yields.

The last thing these farmers need is multinational seed corporations and billionaire investors sensationalizing the climate change narrative in order to introduce GM seeds, take over farmland, and steal away farmer’s right to use their own seeds and adapt them to regional weather and pest challenges. However, that now seems to be an issue: The pretentious climate change narrative is being used as a selling point to push genetically modified “drought resistant” traits on African farmers.

The main culprits, who are bringing this “climate change solution” to Africa, are the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Monsanto. Both of these entities have cleverly funded, infiltrated, and/or helped develop the Efficient Maize for Africa (WEMA) project, an organization committed to producing drought-tolerant and insect-protected maize varieties.’

‘Recently, investment banker David S. Levin was given the platform of CNBC Africa to tell African readers why GMOs are a wonderful thing that they should accept post haste. His piece is a “A New York investor’s view of Africa and other emerging economies.”

As you read the following quote from it, tell me what you think the intended age of his target audience was when as he was writing the op-ed – three years old? Five?:

I’ve always loved a really good magic trick. The kind that makes you think to yourself, “there’s no way he did that…” A few years ago, I went to one of those over-the-top, magic shows in Las Vegas while I was on vacation. During the performance, the magician did this trick where he took a fluffy, white rabbit and put it into his black top hat. He showed the audience the inside of the hat first to prove that it was completely empty. Then, once the rabbit was inside, he put the hat on a table that was on-stage with him, waved his hands above it, mumbled some magical, mumbo jumbo, and then presto, one by one, proceeded to pull out ten or so beautiful, white doves.

How did he do that???

Well, in a lot of ways, that magic trick was kind of like what genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are to farming. Because GMOs are also magical. They’re transformative. And they work…’

‘If you’ve ever debated climate change with a leftist or an environmentalist, chances are you’ve heard the one talking point that is repeated more than all the others: That 97 percent of scientists agree that human activity is playing a significant role in the warming of our planet. While the left routinely uses this talking point to bolster their argument and make it sound as though they are more in touch with the scientific community than their political counterpart, the reality is that this “97 percent” figure has been debunked time and time again.

According to an expert commentary published last month in Environmental Communication, climate change campaigns that focus on convincing people that there is a scientific consensus on the issue are likely to backfire. Maybe now the left will rethink their strategy and actually look at the facts, rather than continuously spread the myth that 97 percent of scientists agree on the impact of man-made climate change.

The six authors of the commentary note that the messaging strategy has generated much confusion over whether or not consensus extends to the various effects of climate change such as extreme weather or rising sea levels. Instead of ending the debate on climate change, the repeated talking point that 97 percent of climate scientists agree has only lead to more debate and more division on the matter, not less.’

‘The US has indicated it will still take part in international climate talks despite withdrawing from the Paris Accord.

In a letter lodged with the UN, the Trump administration said it still planned to remove itself from the agreement that was hammered out with 200 other nations, but said it remained open to “re-engaging” on the issue.

“As the President indicated in his June 1 announcement and subsequently, he is open to re-engaging in the Paris Agreement if the US can identify terms that are more favourable to the United States, its businesses, its workers, its people, and its taxpayers,” said a letter from the State Department.’
