'Bombs have been sent to the homes of Bill and Hillary Clinton, former President Barack Obama, US network CNN and the office of former chair of the Democratic National Committee, Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
Part of Manhattan in New York was placed on lockdown as the bomb squad moved a potential explosive device from CNN’s New York headquarters to detonate it elsewhere.
CNN reported that the device was sent to CNN contributor John Brennan, the former CIA director whose security clearance Donald Trump revoked in August.
Florida police have also confirmed that a suspicious package was sent to the office of Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the former chair of the Democratic National Committee.
It comes after an explosive was found on Monday at the compound of billionaire philanthropist, political activist, and Democrat supporter George Soros.
The explosive device, similar to a pipe bomb, was discovered by a housekeeper for Mr Soros. It was detonated by bomb squad officials.'
