'The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will use any excuse to accelerate the insane and insidious “Race to 5G” – never mind that many cities, countries, and organizations have taken action against installation for a variety of valid reasons (see 1, 2, 3, 4) in addition to health risks (see 1, 2, 3, 4) that include reduced immunity to illnesses. Since 2018 people and animals have been getting sick where it has been turned on (see 1, 2, 3, 4).
Regardless, the FCC is using the coronavirus pandemic as a reason to accelerate the rollout which has always included launching satellites to blast it at us from space. Argh. Now they have approved the launching of A LOT more even though they were already accused of breaking environmental lawwhen they approved SpaceX’s Starlink Mega Constellation (approximately 42,000 spacecraft!).
- The FCC authorized SpaceX to begin rolling out as many as 1 million ground antenna for its Starlink internet project.
- Starlink is an ambitious network of about 12,000 satellites that SpaceX wants to use to provide high-speed internet to anywhere in the world.
- “It looks like a UFO on a stick,” SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said of these ground antenna in an interview earlier this month.
SpaceX got a key government license last week, federal filings reveal, as the company clears a regulatory hurdle that moves it closer to offering a new high-speed internet service from space.'
