In our super advanced world that is placing new technological wonders at our fingertips everyday what is the role and importance of the institution of ‘Religion’? In the West the once near omnipotent power of Christianity has stopped suffocating the European and American continents, at least on the surface. It’s as though ‘Science’ has become the new belief system and has no place for Mysticism and Faith. As for Islam, the Moslem world appears to be following the Christian World into the new paradigm of Scientific rationalism, but it is dragging its feet. A trip to Cairo or Riyadh will show that Islam is still in the driving seat as far as overtly controlling Moslem society.
Just these two Abrahamic Religions (Christianity and Islam) though already possess the minds of half of the worlds population. And it is clear that the world is in flames due to the on-going battle between the two belief systems that has continued on for more than a thousand years. So, even with Scientific rationalism opening humanities minds in many ways Religion still has enormous power albeit hidden behind a veneer of scientific rationalism. If we add to the believers of Islam and Christianity the believers of Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism and all of their off-shoots we find that true atheism is one of the tiniest belief systems amongst humanity and our Scientific rationalist view of the world in the twenty – first century is nothing more than window dressing of sorts. Humanity it seems still needs to believe in something other than the physical and material Universe.
Maybe the belief in a Superior Creator is tied to our consciousness as we have as conscious entities the ability to ask ‘why’? Our questions concerning the Universe and our place within it manufacture answers. Religion gives purpose to billions of people who may not be able to rationalize their existence without a belief in being a greater entities vassals. For primitive man the phenomena that occurs continually in the Universe and on Planet Earth needed some kind of explanation. How could the heavens discharge bolts of lightening? Was thunder the voice of the Gods? Did a famine occur because a powerful being was dissatisfied with humanity? And the Questions went on and on with the answers always veering towards an intervention by a Superior being.
The ‘hunter Gatherer’ found super-natural connections in much of the phenomena that they had no reference points to explain rationally. The Gods of the ‘Hunter Gatherer’ were not seen to need humanity as a work-force, they just were! They didn’t seem to have anthropomorphic qualities or at least not in the same way as the later Pantheistic Gods and Goddesses had, they just explained what was unexplainable to the tribal peoples. Also at times it was thought that they may aid humanity if asked in the correct way so rituals were formed and the Shaman became an integral part of the tribal communities.
There is enough evidence to make the claim that some sort of advanced civilization existed prior to the mini ice-age that occurred between approximately 13,000 BC and 10.000 BC but as of yet we know nothing really about that civilization. The end of the mini ice-age appears to have caused wide spread flooding around the world and is plausibly the event that spawned the many flood myths that are found in most ancient cultures and that include the Biblical flood of Noah fame.
It is important to note that 9.000 BC was the date that Plato claimed Atlantis disappeared under the waves. Our civilisation has been conceivably constructed from knowledge held in the hands of a group of humans from whatever civilisation the Atlanteans were apart of.
Over the past twelve thousand years we have seen Religion after Religion flowering out of the ashes of previous Religions. Humanity has never been set free from dogma and doctrine. The fundamental problem with these Great Religions is that they are all based on outright lies! I’m not suggesting that there is nothing but a cold, hard reality that we live and die within. What I am saying is that the great Religions that encompass the globe are not in any literal way true. One of the first pointers to examine if one is to look for truth is the validity of any of the Great Religions origin story. After decades of research into the various origin stories there is one common denominator that I have discovered. Not one of the Great Religions can rest its laurels on a slither of truth. Their holy books and sutras were all collated long after the supposed time of their Patriarchs. There was no Siddartha Guatama meditating under a ‘Tree of Life’ for seven years, no Moses leading an Exodus through the Sinnai desert for forty year, no YHVH smiting the unbeliever, no Jesus moonwalking over the Sea of Galilea and no Angels imparting nonsensical wisdom to Mohammed.
If, as I am claiming, there is no truth in the literal sense to any of the origins of the Great Religions what does lie behind them, if anything? One thing that does resonate strongly with every Great Religion that has had its day throughout history is that they all have what is known as an ‘Astro-Theological’ foundation. Deities and their movements metaphorically represent the Cosmic Drama that is eternally enacted in the Heavens. The story of what the late and great mythologist, Joseph Campbell, calls the ‘Slain and Risen’ God myth is one that we shall use as an example. From the very beginning of this civilisation some six thousand years ago there have been many Religions that retold the same story as a major part of their belief systems. Names and places changed but the essence of the myth remained the same. The last incarnation of the ‘Slain and Risen God’ was of course the story of Jesus the Christ. What if the Christ was not actually the ‘Son of God’ but more correctly the ‘Sun of God’? What if the twelve apostles represented the twelve ‘Houses of the Zodiac’? And what if the cruxi-fiction represented the continual cycle of the seasons as they journey from winter to summer and back again? By positing an Astro-Theological template upon an unbelievable fantasy one arrives at comprehension.
The first ‘Slain and Risen’ God’ of this cycle was ‘Dumuzi’ in ancient Shumer. He is sent down to the netherworld in the winter months only to be resurrected over the summer months. This was a deal his Goddess lover In-anna made with her sister who was the queen of the netherworld. In-Anna couldn’t bear to have her paramour ‘Dumuzi’ die so she got her sister Eresh-Ki-Gal to allow Dumuzi to return to the Earth in the summer months and then return to the dead in the winter months. After Shumer was reinvented as Babylon and Assyria the story changed slightly and ‘Dumuzi’ became ‘Tannuz’ and In-Anna became ‘Ishtar’. From these early stories a plethora of ‘Slain and Risen’ Gods appeared and disappeared as various civilizations blossomed the withered with the Jesus story simply being the last and the one that still pretends some reality still.
Religion is a simple tool of control. All civilizations over the last six thousand years have begun with the imposition of an organized Great Religion that claimed to be the repository of Divine wisdom and knowledge that would be needed to guide the human population towards the stated aims of their Divine creators. Each Religion brought humanity one step closer to ‘Unity’ and the push towards Mono-theism was a huge part of this process.. So from a world of countless peoples and countless Gods we enter a One World Order with One GOD at its apex as the last great Religions battle it out towards synthesis. Each Religion within itself is a set of Cosmic formulas. These formulas transcend time and space and move the designated congregations towards an inevitable goal. It is also clear the even greater formulas exist between the Great Religions themselves allowing for their inter-actions to manifest even greater realities. The Trinity of Abrahamic Religions shows this as the Jewish Religion takes on the aspect of the Father Religion while Islam and Christianity become Yin and Yang and through friction move the Trinity and therefore humanity towards the Elite’s desired goal of Unity..
It is time for us to question our journey throughout our period of being conscious as that journey has never had the benefit of our species as its goal. The occult journey includes the engineered evolution of the species into something that is not human and into something that has no free will, this engineered evolution has to be questioned. Religion has been the instigator of this evolutionary process. Without proof of any true Deity we must come to the realization that we are being had and so refuse to carry on the journey without valid reasoning! The Hidden Hand must not remain ‘Hidden’ and must be pushed into the light, it loses power if we refuse to give it any. Blavatsky calls the journey we have been manipulated as a species to take ‘The Path of No Return’ and at a certain point there will be no ability to ‘Return’, we will have lost our ‘Humanity’ and be unable to choose. Let’s not reach that point. The ‘Path of No Return’ is on the horizon but we haven’t quite reached it yet, let’s make sure we don’t!
