Between 2006 and 2011, Dutch natural healer Sara Glatt treated about 780 people, mostly addicts, with iboga, an African plant extract. She is now in prison, accused of involvement in the death of a Swedish woman. Supposedly, Glatt treated her with ibogaine, which can give users a rash and hallucinations. Scientific research has demonstrated that rats who were addicted to morphine, cocaine and alcohol used much less of the drugs after a dose of ibogaine.
Only known remedy
The research also found that the rats’ withdrawal symptoms diminished after being given ibogaine. Now, friends of Sara’s are suggesting, in an open letter, that Big Pharma and the Dutch Government have been plotting against her. “Ibogaine is the world’s only known remedy for addiction,” they write. “This is not what the pharmaceutical industry wants to hear, because addicts healed using ibogaine will no longer be dependent on their products in future.” “Big Pharma and the Dutch Government have combined to form a de-facto lobby to stop ibogaine being used in the Netherlands,” they continue.
This is a powerful lobby and is responsible for Sara’s pre-trial detention, which has now been going on for two years with no legal procedures at all, the friends write. “Although it is being assumed that Ibogaine played a role in the person’s death, that has not been proven,” they add. Like cannabis and ayahuasca, ibogaine is non-toxic, and—they emphasise—it is impossible to overdose on ibogaine. Sara’s friends point to the large number of opinion pieces by the anti-ibogaine lobby that have flooded the press to discredit its use, with no reference to any clinical evidence.
Sara’s friends write that those who have died after taking ibogaine had prior medical conditions such as heart problems: “Millions of people, on the other hand, die every year from the effects of pharmaceutical medicines, vaccinations, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and toxins in food and drink. Yet no-one from Big Pharma ends up in jail,” they point out. Sara’s friends are appealing to the public to take action against the influence of the pharmaceutical industry and against government bodies who are denying people their right to be healed using the medicine of their choice. Sara Glatt is an Israeli citizen living in the Netherlands for forty years, with five children all born in the Netherlands, and working productively in Amsterdam.
Sara treated hundreds of drug dependant people from all around the world, successfully, and a series of hand written testimonial letters proving the cure for alcohol - tobacco- and all classes of narcotic and stimulant abuse were collated into two thick volumes, which have been seized and sequestrated by the police.
The Dutch newspapers “ De Telegraaf , and “ Algemeen Dagblad “ have applied the epithet:
“ De Heks van Kockengen “ which name has struck a chord amongst the gossiping public, and the MSM. This epithet has severely prejudiced Sara’s reputation, and her defence at a forthcoming hearing in Utrecht on 12th. March. The Rechter ( Magistrate ) in his first interrogation with Sara Glatt, showed signs of A.S. in his constant repetition of the place of her birth, Tel Aviv, for no apparent reason, except possibly to emphasise the point to the public who were present in the Court.
In this manner, Sara Glatt has been vilified, and scorned by those Dutch citizens who read the newspapers and take their standpoint from the opinions expressed in the pages of these papers.
Help raise Awareness please. For change we need the Masses.

The trial of Sara Glatt took place on 12th. and 13th. March 2018 in the Utrecht Court of Justice in the Netherlands.
The key point of the matter and the charges that needed to be answered were: 1) Sara Glatt administered Ibogaïne to the deceased Swedish woman. 2) Ibogaïne caused the Swedish woman’s death.
The Dutch Prosecution presented their allegations as follows: Sara Glatt caused deliberate manslaughter, with intend to cause death by the administering of Ibogaïne, knowing its harmfulness to health.
Additional compensation was demanded by the family of the deceased Swedish woman, due to the shock caused by the Dutch police allegations that the Swedish woman had been murdered in Holland. The Dutch police wrongfully and with malice aforethought towards Sara Glatt, (who had not at this stage in the investigation been charged , but was merely held under suspicion) made it known to the Swedish police that Carmen Sirola had been murdered by Sara Glatt.
Mr. Jonk, Sara's lawyer, argued that the version of the alleged crime (murder) was conceived without any supporting evidence and that, on the other hand, there are far more plausible scenarios for what happened on the fatal day. For example, it is quite possible that the victim administered the Ibogaïne herself without supervision.
The defense demands acquittal.
Iboga is not harmful to health with normal natural use. During the court session it is insisted that a clear distinction should be made between Iboga, a natural product, and Ibogaïne (color is white), and described as being synthetic. In Iboga, one of the 12 alkaloids is Ibogaïne. Sara has always ONLY used the natural product Iboga, with which the Bwiti people in West Africa have been working for centuries.
In the blood of the Swedish woman, Carmen Sirola, other concentrations of substances have been measured in addition to Ibogaïne, including METHADONE, but this is conveniently ignored by the Dutch Prosecution. METHADONE can cause “torsade de pointes” (cardiac death). A heart rhythm disorder that can lead to sudden cardiac death. Other substances found in the blood were various benzodiazepines (calming, inducing, and muscle relaxant effect).
Iboga, a natural product is NOT HARMFUL, and like Cannabis and Ayahuasca, is not a toxic substance, and it is impossible to overdose. Dozens of opinion pieces have been written by the anti-Iboga lobby, to discredit the use of Iboga without clinical evidence and to state that Iboga is responsible for "cardio-toxicity" and "neuro-toxicity".
In the past, if doctors and others blamed the use of Iboga / Ibogaïne where a fatal accident occurred, the deceased already had a pre-existing medical condition, particularly cardiovascular disease.
In contrast, millions of victims worldwide die every year as a result of pharmaceutical drugs, vaccinations, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and the toxins in food and drink. Yet nobody from bigpharma ends up in prison for alleged manslaughter.
If someone dies during an Iboga / Ibogaïne treatment, this is almost certainly due to heart problems or other serious health ailments. The diagnosis of death can be complicated because the patient has been using simultaneously other drugs such as heroine. In 1993 the death of a German woman ocurred during trials with Ibogaïne under the guidance of Professor Bastiaans in the Netherlands, due to the woman injecting herself with heroïne.
It is also well known that only 3 people in every 100 (3%) are cured from drug addiction with pharmaceutical drugs, which means that 97% is not!
However, treatment with Iboga gives a 100% success ratio, provided that the treatment conditions and aftercare are in order.
The judges will pronounce a verdict in Sara’s case on 10th. April 2019 at 13.00hrs.
Until that time the Petition remains open, so please keep signing and sharing. Thank you, the Friends of Sara
