In the ultimate act of hypocrisy, Israel is doing exactly what it and it's allies relentlessly complain about their enemies doing; Using human shields.
The term "human shield" first came about during the first Gulf war in 1991. The Americans did nothing but moan that Saddam was using civilians and civilian infrastructure to hide military operations. For example, using hospitals to store weapons and function as a base of operations.
This's a fair point and any side that uses it's own civilians as human shields are a disgrace. The Geneva Convention actually contains a protocol regarding this;
"The presence or movements of the civilian population or individual citizens shall not be used to render certain points or areas immune from military operations, in particular in attempts to shield military objectives from attacks." - Protocol 1, Geneva Convention.
What a wonderful world we live in where War has a manual and rule book, one might easily confuse it for a sport. The fact remains that yes, there should be some sort of rules of engagement in war but since when has anyone "gone by the book" completely? There's a lot of countries with a LOT of dirt on them in that respect.
The fact also remains that if there is one rule that should be adhered to, it's this one. If a hospital is used as a cover once, what's to stop an enemy suspecting that ALL hospitals are being used? This sets a precedent for, in this case, attacking all hospitals. It's a very dirty business and usually used as more of an excuse than a legitimate reason.
Moving on to the subject in hand, in this case Israel has used commercial airliners as "human shields" no less.
You will not see this in the Mainstream Media (MSM), they wouldn't want to touch this with a barge pole. And you know why? Simply because it's Israel. If it was Palestinians being accused of such tactics yet again, we'd have all heard about it. But Israel? Best friends of America, owned and run by the Zionist banking cabal? Oh no, suppress, suppress, suppress....
But I stumbled upon it today, quite by accident on RT America news. I Googled it and the only outlets covering this story were other independent news sources and they were all using the same RT America report I'm using as a source. Speaks volumes huh?
Like RT America, I cannot let this go without shedding as much light as possible on what the Israelis have been up to. So let's see.
Human Shields, we are led to believe, are invariably a tactic of terrorist organisations. They're used to level the playing field against a superior enemy. I'm not condoning it, these are just facts. I condemn it wholeheartedly.
However, in these David and Goliath situations, it has always allegedly been "David" who has used this strategy. Not anymore it seems. Israel has been outed and stands accused of using it's own passenger airliners, full of it's own citizens, to conceal the movement of it's Air Force jets as they proceeded to bomb Damascus on Christmas day.
Apparently, 2 commercial flights were used as cover while approaching civilian airports. Syrian forces were alerted to what was happening and fortunately for all those on board, the decision was taken not to shoot down the airliners. In this situation, would Syria have not been within their rights to do whatever they had to do to defend themselves from a deadly attack?
I believe it shows admirable restraint and thankfully saved many innocent lives. Innocent lives that Israel were clearly willing to spare.
Let's take a look at "Israel's manual on the Rules of Warfare" document for a moment;
"There is a serious prohibition on the use of civilians as human shields... It is prohibited to scatter military targets among civilian installations in an attempt to prevent an attack on them."
This is from their own publication, their laws. Seems like it's one rule for one and one rule for another then. Sanctimonious posturing is all well and good till you break your own rules Bibi...
Israel's High Court itself said the following in 2005;
"It is clear that an army is not permitted to use local residents as a human shield."
We all know that this is aimed specifically at Palestine but now they deem fit to see it as okay as long as it's them doing it... Again, the hypocrisy is staggering.
Breakdown of the Incident
The 2 airliners were flying to Beirut and Damascus. The Russians, using radar imaging technology, proved that Israel used the cover of scheduled commercial flights in order to trick Syrian air defences. The sting in the tail here is that Israel has effectively put ALL commercial passenger flights at risk by their very actions.
By the same rationale that hospitals have often been used as a cover for military use, thus making them a target through suspicion, does the same not apply to airliners? Of course it does, Israel has set a new precedent here. One that could lead to a passenger airliner being shot down that is truly innocent. Being used as a mask. The fact remains that the civilians on board would know NOTHING or they certainly wouldn't have set foot on the flight.
Israel has acknowledged this incident, this is not conjecture or speculation. The airstrikes were executed to destroy what they say was a shipment of Iranian rockets that they claim were on their way to Hezbollah.
RT America have reached out to the IDF media department and the Israeli embassy in America but as yet, there has been no reply. What a surprise. Surely they would be back in touch pronto to dismiss such accusations if there was indeed no substance behind them?
However, an American former CIA agent and former Army Intelligence officer with over 20 years of on-the-job experience of terrorism in the region HAS spoken out about this. He has stated that this is a clear violation of Lebanese air space by Israel and that Israel itself, by it's actions, has met the UN definition of an aggressor.
Israel is supposedly not at war with Syria, it's American partner in crime is, but not Israel. Not explicitly anyway... Israel has bombed Syria over 200 times, however but that doesn't seem to constitute the definition of "at war", interesting...
Our former CIA/Army chap explains how as well as this incident being a "big deal", he wonders why it's been barely covered at all in America. He speaks of the huge Israeli influence in Washington and US politics in general, including congress and the White House.
More telling is how much influence Israel has over the MSM, the huge media outlets in America. Of course they do, they're all owned by Zionists! They're not going to cover such an embarrassing story. I say embarrassing, a more appropriate word would be disgusting.
THIS IS THE DEEP STATE AT WORK; A PERFECT EXAMPLE.
While this story was all over Arab media and many independent news sources on the Internet picked up on it, it was largely ignored by the Western media. How strange...
In fact, this is not the first time Israel has used civilian aircraft as human shields. In September of last year, Israel used a Russian Intelligence plane as concealment which resulted in fatalities due to Syrian air defences responding to the attack. Again, Israel claim this incident was due to Iran attempting to transport weapons to Hezbollah. Same old story, a perfect excuse for doing what you like when America has got your back and vice versa.
Due to the nature of what Israel has done, what will be the repercussions? The UN security council would frown upon this to say the very least but nothing will happen. America just happens to hold veto power against the UN, thus Israel basically has no accountability by proxy. And they know it.
So it seems that Hamas are evil terrorists for allegedly using civilians as human shields, they are the "David" in this fight. Yet Israel, as "Goliath", although now doing the exact same thing, seemingly play by a different set of rules and indeed morals.
This is one of many incidents that Israel should be held accountable for. But they won't be, even though they brought unwitting innocent civilians into their war games.
I find this truly reprehensible but it's the way of the world at the moment it seems. I just hope that by bringing such stories into the open the best I can, more people will become aware of this and go on to tell even more people; I want it to spread like wildfire.
Global corruption is at an all time high in the sense that we're all affected by it. If countries and their armies want to go toe-to-toe, that's one thing. But I'm deeply concerned that we're openly seeing the beginnings of us, the people, being used as pawns and instruments of war. If you didn't believe we were expendable before, maybe this will make you question that.
I don't think any of us ever agreed or signed up to being pawns. In the words of a reader who recently contacted me, "Fuck the Deep State". Your days are numbered.
