'David Icke has had to put up with more than his fair share of ridicule over the years – but today in a hard-hitting podcast he warned the EU was ALWAYS designed as a centralised super-state with the ultimate aim of killing off traditional nation states.
Mr Icke’s straight-talking broadcast from Margate Beach seemed to nail what the BRITISH PEOPLE DEMAND from Brexit with the clarity and passion entirely absent from Parliament since the Brexit referendum itself.
The former TV presenter claimed:
* The end game of the EU project was always a centralised super-state.
* The long-term EU goal was the end of countries as they are subsumed into a sprawling Soviet-like bloc
* The abject chaos surrounding Brexit is no accident but a deliberate tactic by political elites on both sides of the Channel.
He said: “We have moved from what was sold as a free trade area and good for jobs to a centralised super-state.
“Where it’s meant to end is with a centralised control of Europe and eventually the end of countries.”
The 66-year-old former football player and broadcaster was subject to worldwide ridicule after an interview on Wogan in 1991 which saw Icke claim he was Jesus and the legendary interviewer appear to poke fun at him. A tabloid newspaper ran a splash headline ‘Crikey Ickey’s Off His Bikey’.
But he has since gained a reputation as an author and leading conspiracy theorist.
He went on to say in the podcast the result of the 2016 referendum shocked the political elite both in Britain and Europe and they had since done everything in their power to thwart Brexit.'
