UK will be forced to pay millions for a private EU army for MEPs despite Brexit

‘Britain will be forced to foot the bill for a new EU private army for MEPs and a publicity campaign for elections in 2019 when the country will already have left the union.

New figures show the budget for the European Parliament is set to increase by over three per cent next year amid fears of cuts following Brexit.

The UK will contribute €268million to the pot, some of which will be spent on a new protection force for members of the European Parliament, according to the Times.

Overall the budget will hit €2billion.’
