Libya Draws Turkish Ire Over ‘Militia’ Training Bid

‘Libya has angered Turkey by including Libyan militiamen among the forces expected to be trained by Ankara on a bilateral agreement. Controversy arose when Libya added the word ‘militia’ to the agreement, according to which Turkey should train Libyan police forces. Deputy Chairman of Turkey’s Republican People’s Party Faruk Logoglu said training militia forces in another country is against international agreements and violates human rights.’
