Italy ex-PM Berlusconi Threatens to End Support for Monti’s Government

'Italy’s former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has threatened to topple Mario Monti's technocratic government appointed to steer the European country out of its economic recession.
Berlusconi said at a press conference that his centre-right party could end support for it due to the deepening recession and increasing economic woes in the country. “In the next few days we will decide with the leadership of my party whether it is better to immediately withdraw our confidence or to keep it, given the upcoming election (in April),” Berlusconi said on Saturday.'
