UK Military to Phase Out Facilities Constructed in Afghanistan

'A leaked report has revealed that the UK military is due to close down by 2014 most of health clinics and schools made by its troops in southern province of Helmand in Afghanistan, local media reported.
The excuse behind closing the military built clinics and schools is said to be as part of Britain’s counterinsurgency strategy, The Guardian newspaper reported. According to the report, senior British officials in Helmand are working with Afghan ministers to identify the schools and clinics that are deemed ‘critical’ and should remain open, while most of the rest could be phased out between now and the end of 2014.”'
