Each successive gaffe – all unforced – has cast the Republican nominee as flip-flopping, undiplomatic and out of touch. What next? Will someone will leak footage of Romney sending a child up a chimney? “Give it a good clean up there, little fella! There’s a dime in it for ya if you make it back down!”

Then there was the tone of Romney’s speech. Romney speaks of human beings as percentages, as if they were scribblings on a balance sheet. He dismisses the poor as a demographic, implying that they will stay the way they are born.'
