London Metropolitan Police Support Staff to Stage Strike

'Thousands of support staff at the London Metropolitan Police (Met) are planning to stage a strike if London Mayor Boris Johnson goes ahead with schemes to privatise parts of the Met, local media reported.
The support staff planning strike action include police community support officers, 999 call centre workers and House of Commons security.The industrial action follows a warning by unions that stressed their resolve to use “every single element in our armoury” to make sure that key areas such as training and forensics were not contracted out.'
