"Today at 8:00 a.m., a diplomatic vehicle belonging to the US Embassy was hit by multiple bullets from personnel of the federal police in the Tres Marias-Huitzilac highway," the Mexican Navy and Public Security Ministry said in a statement on Friday, AFP reported. The police officers were chasing criminals in the area, it added.'
