Disabled Workers Occupy Remploy Head Office

'Disabled workers who used to work at Remploy have occupied the company’s head office in Leicester calling on the British government to withdraw its threat to close Remploy’s remaining factories. More than 20 of Remploy’s factories closed last week, half of the agency’s 54 factories will close by the end of 2012, and 18 are to close or be sold next year.
“Today, ex Remploy employees who were casually sacked last week, are occupying Remploy’s head office, demanding to see a director to try to get answers to questions that have so far remained unanswered”, said GMB national officer Phil Davies.'
