The annual carnival at Ryde on the Isle of Wight is said to be the oldest in Britain and celebrates its 125th anniversary next year. I have great respect for those that give their time for free to make it happen.
But this weekend I was shocked to see that the military were allowed to take part in a local carnival merely to recruit more killers and killed for their wars of acquisition in faraway lands as part of an agenda for global dictatorship.
I watched (though not quietly) while camaflague uniforms handed out recruitment leaflets to kids. I pointed out that if they wanted to die for nothing that was their choice, but they should leave our kids alone. It is outrageous that this should be happening in a local carnival that attracts so many children to watch and take part. How desperate can you be for recruits to your robot army that you need to bring your killing machine to a small town carnival?
The carnival is about bringing the community together not recruiting more bomb fodder to be killed and kill others, usually with brown faces.
Whoever thought that this was acceptable needs to think again big-time.
And where else is this happening? All over the place, no doubt.
