'Isn’t this how the 9/11 hijackers got into the US? They overstayed their visas then conducted the attacks, right? If the federal government was serious and consistent about preventing terrorism, they would have much better control over who comes into the country. Either the TSA is incompetent or the government isn’t serious about protecting citizens, just deadly serious about taking our rights. We have 1000s of new laws and regulations since 9/11 that restrict free movement of US citizens and somehow we can’t track and deport potentially hostile illegals. Appalling.'
