'It has been revealed by the prince’s annual account that Charles received almost 2.2 million pounds ($3.4million) from grants and government departments in the year to March 31, which is a rise of 11 percent comparing to the year before.
While the cost of his son, William’s royal wedding remains confidential, figures show that Charles, the heir to the throne’s income and expenditures both rose at the cost of the taxpayers in the UK.
The British Prince receives a large income from properties and investments of the Duchy of Cornwall. A land the size of 136,000 acres was established in the 14th century to provide income for the heir to the throne.'
