Spain May Request Bank Bailout to Ease Banking Crisis: Officials

'Spanish government officials have announced that their country, the eurozone's fourth-biggest economy, could put in a formal request for a bailout for its teetering banking sector within the week. “That's the intention,” they said on the sidelines of the G20 summit in the Mexican city of Los Cabos on Tuesday.
The officials emphasized, however, that Madrid is still negotiating conditions for the package of up to 100 billion euros (126 billion dollars) that the European Union has made available to Spain to recapitalize its beleaguered banks.'
