Activists Sue US Police for Using Brute Force on 99-Percenters

'A number of the New York City Council members, along with supporters of the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement have charged that the US police have resorted to using excessive force against the Occupy protesters, also referred to as the 99-percenters.
Other identical lawsuits have also been filed against American police departments in recent days.
The development comes as the OWS activists and supporters are preparing to wage a number of mass rallies across the country to mark May Day. The 99-percenters have stated that the day of action would be the first truly nationwide general strike in the American history.'
