UK MoD Slammed for Overspending

'The Commons Public Accounts Committee has launched a scathing attack on the MoD after a report by the committee revealed that the costs of the ministry’s “wasteful” projects have soared by nearly 500 million pounds in 2010-11.
The committee accused Britain’s defence chiefs of failing to “live within their means” as the costs involved in carrying out the MoD’s 15 largest projects would be £6.1billion more than the ministry’s budget.
“It is unacceptable that the department still cannot identify the extent of the current gap between resources and expenditure,” said the committee in its report.'
