Britons Charged Over Arms Smuggling in Kabul

'The British nationals, Julian Steele and James Davis, were arrested along with their driver and interpreter while driving through the eastern part of the Afghan capital, where there are some foreign military bases.
The men, who were also carrying plenty of ammunition in their sport utility vehicle, claimed that they were working for Garda World, a private security firm.
"The detainees did not have any documentation for carrying weapons, so we have charged them with illegal smuggling of weapons and have handed them to the attorney general for further investigation," Afghan government spokesman Sediq Sediqqi said.'
