This is the former Lilly Deacon pub in Ryde, Isle of Wight, before it was demolished to make way for flats. Strangely, when questions were asked of regulars about a person who used to go in there during the day a few years ago they suddenly clammed up and stopped visiting the man asking the questions as they had done for years. 

Also, when another friend began asking questions about the same person of other people, some of whom have had dealings with what I term the drug-running 'Isle of Wight Mafia', they stopped visiting him, too, as they had done for years. 

If anyone can help with information to explain this strange reaction to anyone who asks questions about the activities of this person who lived in Ryde a few years ago please contact wightmafia@aol.com in the strictest confidence.
