You'll hear a police officer talk about being in contempt of a court order if they don't take a child from his father and into 'care' just before Christmas when the child doesn't want to go.
The fact that they are in contempt of human decency seems to pass them all by - serving the system is all that matters. Pawns in a game they don't even begin to understand.
'I was only following orders.'
