Patti Smith anti-Elitist? Aware?

This song struck me as anti-Hollywood/Elitist Pedophilia/Exploitation

I think she definately is in tune/awake...not sure if I am correct about that. One of my goals is to be aware of what I am consuming. I am still in the learning process here. Please let me know what you think.
