![]() Didn't feel 100% but thought I would go anyway, so started on the rowing machine, 2kms, went at it a bit too hard! Got off feeling dizzy and sick, so had to lie down 5 min later did some back work on a machine that has your knees in a bent position level with your upper waist, then got cramp in both calf muscles which then went down to my feet and locked my toes up! The pain was fooking excruciating, nearly passed out twice! had to try and lie down then managed to ask some guy to stretch my legs! I know that if you get bad cramps it is a deficiency in your diet, anybody got any ideas? Cheers

Aww Lightbeing hunny!! ![]() How are you feeling now? Hope your feeling better. My wee sister used to get this alot and I have had a few muscle spasm moments and dead arms during the night....muscles do weird things like immigration to the front of the calf....it's not nice, may you feel much better today. My sis used to eat alot of salt, which created cramping in her legs at night, since she's cut back she hasn't had an incident. Your experience also sounds like low blood sugar levels, if you felt faint, maybe uptake on fruit and fibre, stabilise it by eating small but regularly. Anyway, here's old June, she'll take care of you, http://www.jrussellshealth.org/cramps.html She lists the causes of this problem and recommends minerals etc, to help.

Thanks for your kind words lydia
Feeling pretty fooked today, my right calf feels like someone has beat the hell out of it! I can't walk properly on it, bit of a limp!Never had such a bad time at the gym! ![]() My 'awakening' is speeding up my perception of time, but now it seems to be ageing my body quicker as well! ![]() Quote:

hello lightbeing , i was a serious bodybuilder for 8 years untill i became ill and did 5 days a week but i didnt have a problem with cramp as bad as you describe but i do have it bad now and it wakes me up some days and i just knoiw it depends on what i eat and i think ir has something to do with good salt and bad salt . read the threat about salt by garth and see if you think its rite for you . he reccomends taking sea salt and the best sea saly is celtic if you can get it , sea salt is totaly diffrent to table salt and cooking salt and i read a lack of sea salt can cause cramps . the info is in garths thread in a link to another site and it has awsome info on salt and the amaizing things sea salt can do for you .
all the best dude and i hope its just a simple seaq salt defficiency you have , if it isnt im sorry im out ideas . |

just thought i would mention that on tv they keep tellng us salt is bad and food contains too much and stuff in the supermarkets say reduced salt on it . well the food we have today just contains the wrong kind of salt and we need sea salt . the government are trying to dumb us down as you know and a lack of sea salt makes us dumbed down . sea salt makes us more inteligent because sea salt creates electrical conductivity in the brain at optimal levels and my theory is that it does the same for electrical conductivity on the muscles and proper electrical conductivity of the nerves in muscles will stop cramp , just my theory but it seems to make sense . anyway you will find all you need to know in garths thread called SALT GET IN IN YA .

your most welcome lightbeing but true thanks goes to garth because i learned about good and bad salt from him and i learned somer wonderfull things from his post and hopefully when i get my sea salt i will stop being woken up by my calf muscles trying to cause me that horrifying pain that you got in the gym .
i hope to get well enough to start bodybuilding again , they were the best days of my life and i was so confident and healthy but i think it was bad for my ego because realy im just a peacefull loving person who doesnt like trouble but people assume because of your size you are some kinda monster or whatever thier preconspeptions are . im not sure if your into mass or strength building or cardio or a combination of the latter lightbeing but whatever it is would you please allow me to recomend you what i believe are the best bodybuilding suppliments i have ever come across , ile go for it anyway because it might save you some money and give you awsome results and put things in your diet you mght need . this stuff is used by the pros , they realy do use it and dont just adverize it for money . this is the real deal and me and my buddies have been building for years and tried everything , although i cant bodybuild at the moment they still do and have stuck with these products because they are the real shit and work and are not just about advertizing and selling false hope and junk to people . http://www.animalpak.co.uk/?gclid=CL...FSFhgQodI3VIQw all you need is animal pak vitamins and the liver tabblets and a good protein powder and an amino acid complex then bung it down ya neck with your usual diet . its just all my opinion but ive tried a lotta stuff and even roids and ive never come accross anything like animalpak stuff . too many sites sell stuff with a bunch of scientific crap and flashy adverts and fancy packaging . thiers no bull with animalpak . |

Its a killer when you get cramp bad. Sometimes I have to leap out of bed and walk about until it goes away. I haven't looked into this but the doctor gave me quinine tablets. But its related to food intake for sure. I'm prone to not eating until I absolutely have to and so don't eat enough. When this gets to a certain point cramps start happening. Just eating 'more' stops this with me. Maybe its just to do with energy burnout and not as 'specific' as one type of substance?

Hi Lightbeing, Rest up and get a Magnesium supplement from the Supermarket.
You probably won't need a lot of Magnesium just one a day for a few days, then have one every 3 or 4 days or so. Love Lemonique |

13 stone is good lightbeing , i think its a great weight to start getting ripped up on . i wish i had of done that but my buddy kept pushing me do build more mass and at the time i thought it was a great idea but on reflection it could have made me to big for my back to be able to handle it because i bet if i had of stuck at around 12 stone thn ripped up i might not have injured my back but i dunno why it whent realy , i cant realy blame someone else . my mum allways warned me my bones werent built to carry all that muscle . ive had years of pain and sickness and wish i never got into bodybuilding , i should have listned to her .
