Default This is why I study movies

There's a brief moment in AI:Artificial Intelligence when Gigolo Joe passes
Gigolo Jane (they're both robots who were made to be prostitutes) and they exchange this dialogue when they're out on the street hooking:

Gigolo Jane: Hey Joe, what do you know?

Gigolo Joe: Hey Jane, how's the game?

I had the following major epiphany when I watched this scene:

Why are these robots out hooking? What do they gain from it? They get no pleasure from it and I don't see what use robots could have for money. Actually, David needed money to visit Dr. Know (in a search for knowledge) but outside of that there wasn't a hint that the robots needed money for anything.

This lead me to the realization that probably at least 95% of what happens in society is automated and/or robotic. People are just going about their daily business like computer programs (this may be literally true when you consider red dress programs/organic portals).

Just like Gigolo Joe and Gigolo Jane, people are going about their daily lives, doing their work and profiting NOTHING from it.

Well you'd be right. We're all just worker ants. Up at 8am, watch the news, go to work, come home, watch Eastenders.....Rinse and repeat.

Could be references to MKUltra as well...

Organic robots created by the establishment to serve and make $$ for the PTB. the MK slaves have no use for the money as they are mind-controlled and cannot function to use it.

a robot functions by use of a computer. a computer does what it is programmed to do. the brain is an organic computer. humans have free will but only within the program restrictions whilst using our organic brain. the illusion of choice.

Same dialogue programs too:

- Hi, how are you?

- Good thanks.

etc.

It's years since I watched that film, but it broke my heart!

I took it's meaning differently though - not that one of us is right, & one wrong, obviously.

Profits would be made by the designers & manufacturers of such 'toys', which they created to fulfill every human desire, to humanity's detriment. So it was about ruthless money lust on their part, and the thoughtless & selfish pursuit happiness by society.

I thought it was about the immorality of that, and also about the undying essence of love itself.

Great film!

Oh yes!

The hive mentality!

It's worth doing a study of people's reactions to particular topics.

Here are some that are guaranteed to trigger a response...

Chemtrails, 9/11, Weather Manipulation...

Any more... And typical responses?

I had a few people who laughed hysterically when I simply mentioned some of these. It was sooooo bizarre, but I got used to it.

If you persist they try to laugh it off, ridicule it, dismiss it (although they are completely ignorant)...

Until finally, if you persist long enough, they get mad

Interesting!

I like the response you get when you mention one of those things to somebody at work who simply can't compute what to do when it's mentioned...like a cornered animal, eyes darting around looking for an escape route.

I saved the following post from another thread, I think it describes what you're talking about:

our minds can be compared to a large storage system using dics... Boris Mouravieff writes in his book gnosis:

The
system is vast, well regulated, and provided with a mechanism — that of
association—by which any disc arriving at its end automatically releases a
second, the contents of which are related to the first. A record which turns
as someone speaks can similarly provoke in us—again by association—the
release of an equivalent record. In general this is how dialogue is born and
sustained.
This procedure is mechanical. We can easily observe this in any con-
versation between a number of persons who know each other slightly.
Such an interchange necessarily falls to an elementary level of the most
banal interests: weather, political news, or the city. We hear these records
being played, turning continually and passing from one person to another,
each with their faces congealed in a grimace which—we commonly agree
— gives evidence of an amiable attitude.
The recording continues practically forever, as the disc library is vast
and the recording apparatus very sensitive. When a person speaks, it is
generally easy to distinguish whether his records are playing or whether he
speaks from some deeper part of himself. In the latter case, he uses a
pictorial, rustic and sometimes awkward language; in the former he speaks
in a singing tone of voice.

Morphogenetic fields?

What was once referred to as the group soul.

The masses are passively attuned to the group soul, which is why it is so painful for any individuals to go their own way.

It took me years and years to work out that they didnt care a shit. If someone says to me, I would answer, ' oh , i have a cold, or some crap", and then they just say, great, have a nice day, or rubbish.

so i got sucked into the " good, thanks", rubbish.

If i ask anyone how they are, i mean it. I can tell if someone is pissed off, and needs to vent, and i always used to let them vent on me. and then i get bored because they cant even tell that i am a kind person, they think i am their personal therapist and tell me all their problems, .... and then go away feeling better ( which is good) , in the meantime, my energies got sucked out.

Now, I just go back to the "good , thanks" stuff, but still keep nice healing thoughts to them, but dont let them suck my energies. ( they dont know they are selfishly doing that, and i didnt know i was letting them..) Not anymore!
Have to pick and chose... but still be nice...

That dialogue reminds me of when I read those Terry Pratchett stories about the little gnomes that lived amongst humans but were too small, quick or just too unbelievable for humans to see.
And they would talk about human behaviour; how humans check if another human is alive by asking "how are you?"

I used to actually answer that question with "alive" when asked by colleagues who were friends (or who I thought at least wouldn't snitch on me to a manager for being 'odd' LOL).
