Well Ed Balls and the Fabians will pretty soon get to decide what our kids can and cannot read. They'll be a list of recommended authors and anything outside of that will be streng verbode.

Do you really expect anyone to say, "Oh! No way! Banned books are illegal and that would be a sin"?
Or are you asking whether people read books simply on account of their being banned?
