Thumbs down More Taxes for us

They are trying to add taxes on chocolate

The article states

"Chocolate should be taxed in the same way as alcohol and cigarettes if Britain is to get to grips with the obesity epidemic, a GP said yesterday.
Dr David Walker said chocolate was no longer seen as a 'treat' and excessive consumption would see soaring rates of heart disease and diabetes.
He said far too many people ate their entire daily calorie requirement in chocolate alone."

Soon they will be taxing us about the oxygen we breathe, another excuse to get more taxes from us.

To takle obesity crisis, and people think it could be a good idea

What's next, Pasta? Meat? Milk? Potatoes? soon they will tax the dead through their living relatives.

When are these people going to wake up and get up? how dumb are we?
for the last 100 years we take on the chin whatever the hell they throw at us, and we sulk and complain like irresponsible children, we act like children they treat us like children.

They will only show us some respect if we earn it.

From Treat to Threat: Scottish Chocolate Tax Defeated
March 12, 2009, 2:03 pm
By two votes, the British Medical Association (BMA) has rejected a motion calling for a sin tax on chocolate in the United Kingdom. Dr. David Walker, of Lanarkshire, Scotland, says the treat poses at least as much a threat to health as alcohol does in the U.K., and should be taxed accordingly. “Obesity is a mushrooming problem. We are heading the same way as the United States,” he told the BBC. “I see chocolate as a major player in this.”

But after this week’s vote, the chocolate tax looks about as unlikely as the sex tax we proposed a while back. Sweet
