Teenagers are being asked to write about the September 11 atrocities from the point of view of the terrorists as part of a GCSE course. The most popular history syllabus in the country requires 15- and 16-year-olds to consider the motives of extremists who planned the attacks. In a course taken by more than 70,000 children in England, pupils are also presented with a series of quotations from Osama bin Laden justifying terrorist attacks on New York, Washington, Bali and Madrid. source: Telegraph |
