Let's see, I've been mostly awake since 5 yesterday morning.

I think the wildfire threat is largely past us for the moment....until the next, cursed time. I'm going to try to get some sleep. I felt it fair that while my elderly parents (who put a roof over my head) slept, I should stay awake and monitor for falling embers that could strike a fire on the house/property. I admit fell asleep a couple of times for brief periods. At least the house doesn't smell like smoke anymore and we can unpack as the police didn't mandate we evacuate as for the folks a couple of miles down the road.

I'm sick of the drought, crunchy grass, dead fish and dead cattle stinking up the place, dead critters on the property that have to be buried in rock hard soil to dig. Can't cremate them due to burn bans. Can't cook on the grill either. And no, the buzzards won;t take care of the carcasses as the buzzards left due to the drought; haven't seen one in a long time.

Controlled blackouts are being threatened due to increased energy demands b/c the electric providers can't keep up with 113 - 120 heat. Water pressure has been slightly reduced for conservation purposes.

Nobody has money b/c of a stinky economy and back to school, and business is so much slower where I work I wonder if I'll have a job in year.

The only thing keeping work barely clinging on is the old veterans with their military pensions and the occasional non-military related person who deals in general yard junk that no one is buying now because of a stinky economy. I'm hanging on to it to grab all the unemployment I can when the time comes - if that entitlement is still permitted.

I get mean as heck when I'm very tired, as you witnessed.

Oh! So far my immediate area has been wildfire free, but other areas still he them.

I thought the jealousy alone would jolt madman back into the arms of his beloved wounded dragon, alas, I have failed.

Madman has now returned to his one word innuendo world (fisting, gonads etcetera) and its now affecting wounded.

It appears the therapy has been unsuccessful....

Do you think anyone has realised madman is our child ?

Hopefully the rest of our raft will not have *that* gene.

I dunno, I'm a natural reddish-blonde and according to science I have Neanderthal DNA floating in there somewhere.

I guess it sways upon political winds as to who is what.
