Default US academic first woman to lead Muslim prayers UK

What does think about this?

It was, said the organisers, as historic and radical an act as Emmeline Pankhurst chaining herself to railings outside the Houses of Parliament. But for others a Muslim service led by a woman was sacrilege.

Amina Wadud, an American academic, yesterday became the first woman to lead British Muslims in mixed congregational prayers and deliver the Friday sermon.

Wadud, who converted to Islam more than 30 years ago, addressed a group of about 15 men and women at the Oxfordshire Masonic Centre. It marked the start of a two-day conference on Islam and feminism but, more significantly, broke 1,500 years of tradition regarding a woman's place in the mosque.

At least it's not a news story which focuses on the negative but something a bit more positive and progressive. My thought anyway right now.

Maybe they are hoping that Muslim MEN will speak out against a woman and therefore make themselves look bad in the eyes of British women ?

Unhappy

The Muslim men would just as soon shoot her dead as listen to her prayer gatherings. Women as so easily fooled into giving men, especially men who hate them, what they want. Sad.

How superior of you to dismiss something that you aren't interested in as such. Well don't read it then. You also have the choice to go elsewhere - don't let the door bang you on the arse on the way out.

PS also what Dr Hemp said to you in another thread.

If she did get shot, it would suit the NWO agenda.
