I dont get why women think skinny is sexy.

Blame the controlled media outlets for that- social engineering- brainwashing women into trying to attain unrealistic, and worthless goals. The problem is, most people don't really think, they just react (as per their programming).

Slightly off topic but does anyone remember reading a few years ago that Nicholas Cage had become obsessed with having a waist like a cobra, and was doing certain exercises and diets to whittle his waistline down to a shape like this chick, because he believed it would give him super cobra-like powers or some shit?

Wow! no offence guys but I have to say I'm dissapointed with some of the comments here and the fact that no-one has questioned if the original post is true. This women is Cathie Jung who has the smallest corseted waist in the world. She has achieved this by training her waist through wearing a corset every day. Believe it or not, this was common practice for many women up until the 1920's who would do everything in their corsets, even sleep. The area that is cinched by the corset is the soft tissue area under the ribs, she would not need to remove her ribs to do this and according to her website she hasn't. As some one who wears corsets on a regular basis and makes them for a living, I can assure you (and I speak from personal experience) that it isn't necessary to remove ribs to do this. It always saddens me to hear supposedly 'open minded' people deride those who may choose to look different. So what if she did remove some ribs? What difference would it make to anyone else. There are plenty of women who get boob jobs, dye their hair, even bleach their skin in the pursuit of beauty, she just happens to think a 15 inch waist is the epitome of beauty. Personaly I don't think a perma- tanned stick figure with bolt on porn star boobs is attractive but I wouldn't call them a freak, it's really no concern of mine what aesthetic they find appealing. It just goes to show how we are controlled by this idea of what is 'normal'. There are definitely health issues concerned with wearing a corset so tight for so long but she's an adult, I'm sure she can make her own decisions.

but I was surprised when I saw this and nobody had bothered to find out if she really had removed ribs or not...

Like I said I can never understand why loads of women want to stain their skin orange or inject their arse fat into their lips... but ho hum, each to their own. Maybe I'm a little touchy cos I am quite the corset fan.
