That's a very sad story and it seems a great injustice was served upon the family and the dead men.

An appalling incident which is covered quite fairly by all accounts in the daramatised documentary 'Battle For Haditha'.
Well worth watching to get some idea of the circumstances in which this happened.

The Marines involved should take a lot of the blame, but as usual the commanding officers higher up the command chain/pyramid who put intense pressure on their men serving under them, seem to have escaped convictions for their parts in this.
