Default The oddest form of celebrity worshop you can find

Bit of backstory,

Lebron James who probably had the most potential out of any basketball player in history is drafted by his hometown team cleveland in the number one pick. After several years playing for them, his team fails to get any significant wins. After their early exit from the playoffs and becoming a free agent over the summer, he can make the decision to join another team. Following this came a histeria probably unrivalled ever as the Cleveland Cavs tried everything they could to get him to stay. Including this song which takes the form of a celebrity charity single but instead of pleading for millions of people to donate small amounts of money for starving children, they are pleading for one guy to sign an exorbitant multi-million dollar contract in his home town:

Lebron seeing how much attention he was getting, decided to organise an event to televise his decision live on TV. There was a 45 minute buildup of Lebron worship until he makes his decision:

He left Ohio to go to one of the most superficial places in America, Miami which already boasted arguably the leagues best player, Dwayne Wade. After this, one of the best forwards in the league Chris Bosh also joined them through free agency. This sparked a lot of controversy as superteams in the nba were prevously put together by managers, not the players. As previously the games best players tended to stick to their team and fight against the odds to win. It almost seemed unfair to fix a squad which is so powerful.

Anyway, I just thought you conspiracy people might like to see the psychotic level the cleveland fans stooped to, it's pretty comical looking back on it now, they must have a collective humiliation over the whole thing.
