Have you seen 'London's Burning' trailer on BBC?

Have you seen the new TV trailer for the new series of programmes being shown to go with the Queen's Jubilee and the Olympics about building London (or is it re-building after destruction *message*)? WTF!

It starts with the music of "London's Burning, London's burning..." with shots of pictures of the great fire of London and WW2 and then shows shots of key buildings in London and the Olympic park.

What do you think, too obvious or what?

Really? I looked about two weeks ago at what areas the fire devastated and it did not match up with where the financial District is located, the River Thames was different in both maps

I saw this yesterday, and immediately mumbled sarcastically, "What a strange choice of song to choose"..... the reason I did this, was because my wife gets a bit fed up/annoyed at my constant comments about symbolism, conspiracy, etc. However, to my surprise, she said..... "Indeed..... that really is weird". It's completely out of context for the programme/theme of it!

if u want to do proper research of what happened around these dates there is plenty out there, some of the laws introduced are just amazing what they were planning back then......very similar to now, think katrina, think 9-11

The area devastated by fire was central London, After the fire the City Of London (The Financial Crown District was created)

from what i gather, after being born in the UK you have seven years to claim your title, if no title is claimed then they own you! nuts and bolts version? could be wrong

Maybe they ask for name and date of birth because it's a slightly more accurate way to confirm your recorded identity than your favourite CD and your shoe size?

Just a thought.
