Default How To Reverse Gum Disease?????

I am looking for anyone with knowledge regarding "gum disease" AkA receding gums. I was recently at the dentist and was measured as having some heavy duty pockets (7 and 8's). Not on all teeth, but a few. The crazy thing is that I have no cavities and my teeth are pretty pristine.

I am at a loss since I floss and rush throughout the day and eat a health, organic diet. I workout 6 days a week. Low body fat. Don't drink.

Any thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated.

I have found bee propolis a great help. Also raw milk if you can get it.

Also I was brushing too hard, so I bought childrens soft bristled toothbrushes from Sainsburys.

Have you considered oil pulling?

Default reversing gum disease

Oil pulling is great but you can accomplish that while brushing your teeth at the same time if you make your own toothpaste.

I wrote an article about it:

http://breakthematrix.org/hygiene/toothpaste

The main ingredients you need are coconut oil and baking soda. Sea salt helps with mineralization and for you I'd recommend licorice root powder as the herb.

Storebought toothpastes (even the fancy organic kinds) generally just make the problem worse. I seriously get asked all the time why my breath has no smell and why my teeth are so white and all I do is make my own toothpaste. Corporate crap is such a scam.

I have been reading about Bee Propolis. Now is it just a liquid, or some type of wax?

The raw milk thing seems like a great thing. However it seems easier to buy heroine than to buy raw milk these days.

Thank you for the info. I will definitely try the propolis.

I have been oil pulling (which I read about on this very board) for around a month and a half now. I regularly (at least nightly) pull with pure coconut oil, but I hadn't considered adding the baking soda. Thank you for that.

The reason I went to the dentist was that my back molar (wisdom tooth) was feeling wonky and I assumed that perhaps there was a cavity or something. It was then I was told after the measuring that I had a couple of these deep pockets and that ugly term "periodontal disease" was thrown at me with all the scary things like losing teeth.

In the reading I did with oil pulling I also read something that talked about going through a healing crisis prior to things getting exponentially better.

In any event, I have to believe that if the body can heal itself from cut and gashes, and bone breaks it can also heal itself with regard to gums.

Thank you once again. I will now add baking soda.

So add sea salt to the pulling mixture? Sounds easy enough. I am now going to read your article. Thank you so much. This can be reversed, right?

Make sure you don't have diabetes. That will throw a lot of sugar into the blood and affect your teeth. Also, how do you brush your teeth? The clues in the question, i.e. make sure you brush your gums especially where they meet the teeth. I used to only brush my teeth, as I though I might make the gums recede if I brushed them, gum specialist told me to make sure to brush the gums too, pockets went down to 1 and 2. You might also like to take Vitamin K2-MK4, its very good for your teeth.

Receding of the gums is a bugger!
Once they get going the fight is for life.
My experience show that cleaning is THE key!

As well as flossing you need a dental scaler
to remove tartar, plaque and stains
Just be careful you don't damage the enamel

I remember reading a while ago
that in Canada they developed a technology
which can stimulate the cell growth the gums
and thus completely recover receding gums.

I contacted them and they told me
they had too much trouble from the authorities
Surprise, surprise!

The thing I found out about bleeding/receding gums is that ALL store-bought popular brands of toothpaste contain fluoride, which definitely increases the problem.

If you can't be bothered making your own toothpaste, then Boots the Chemists do a non-fluoride toothpaste, as I'm sure most big chemists/pharmacies do. You sometime have to ask because they hide it well in the shop!

I make my own with just set organic coconut oil and bicarbonate of soda. My teeth feel really clean after brushing and my gums no longer bleed.

I now use a sonic toothbrush instead of a manual one. With these you let the brush do all the work. All you need to do it point it in the right direction where you want it to clean. Manual brushes make you press on too hard and this can cause bleeding/receding gums. Remember to brush in a circular motion, not up and down to prevent the bristles scratching the gum line.

A short months supply of vitamin K will do you no harm either.

My gums recently started receding, which my dentist attributes to smoking. For two months I have been brushing my teeth at night with organic colostrum powder (no rinsing!).

The bleeding has stopped and the gum appears to be growing back! I also had a constant ache above a loose upper tooth & this has disappeared as well

Another factor which contributes are hot drinks and food.
To measure the right temperature,
dip you little finger if it feels hot
it's bad for the gums.

That's very interesting. What made you start doing it?

I started taking colostrum for its probiotic qualities as I've suffered from IBS for years. After a little research I realised it has been used for all sorts of ailments, including gum disease.

I've only been taking it for a little over 2 months, and the IBS has all but gone. Been brushing my teeth and gums with it for about 2 months and a marked improvement already. Only downside is the cost.

Extra-strength Super Gum Oil
for Severe Gum Pain

This powerful concoction is a highly oxygenated blend of antimicrobial and pain-relieving essential oils that can help deaden the pain you feel with your gums. As a concentrate, you only need a little bit to:

- Dramatically alleviate gum pain within 24 hrs
- Inhibit the bacteria causing the infection
- Whiten teeth
Concentrated Oil for severe, unrelenting gum and teeth pain

When we make our Raw Oral Care Elixir, we combine the following things: Earth, Water, Oils and Love. This is the pure undiluted oil concentrate we put into our Extra Strength elixir for Gum Pain, straight from the resonation chambers. This oil is fully saturated with oxygen, hyper-activated anti-microbial essential oils, analgesic oil extracts and vibrational energies that promote healing.

This is quite powerful and packs a wallop, so start with just a little dab using a saturated Q-Tip to the affected area. Too much will not help you.

As with all things, the path to take is to strike a balance between what you think you need and what is needed in the moment. You will know you are on the right path when your body tells you it is feeling good.

BENEFITS
Listed are benefits we have found through experience and testimonials. We are not making any promises or claims to prevent or treat disease and your personal results will vary. We believe in our results and present these beliefs to you here:

1. Alleviates Gum Pain and Gum Bleeding
This oil concentrate is designed to kill the cause of gum pain - infection, caused by bacteria and other microbes, and anesthetize your gums to immediately deal with the pain.

With this oil, we have found that it takes about 24-48 hrs to kill off enough of the populations to start deadening the pain. You may feel the effects much sooner. If you use too much, it may irritate your gums, so please be careful. People have safely used this in conjunction with Acetominophen (e.g. Tylenol™) to control gum pain.

2. Inhibits bacteria that cause cavities, plaque and gingivitis
We have powerful anti-microbial essential oils are proven scientifically to kill bacteria in clinical studies (e.g. Oregano Oil, Neem).

3. Helps facilitate gum regrowth
The oils in this concentrate have growth factors from ethically and sustainably harvested epidermal layer velvet from elk antler. Note that our regular elixir is vegan - we do not use animal products in that raw elixir. Therefore, the Extra strength Healing oil on this page is a different formulation from the regular elixir oil.

INSTRUCTIONS
Place a small dab on a cotton swab from the dropper and place in the affected area. Leave the cotton swab in place in your mouth until the pain stops. Then, when brushing, place a couple of drops on your toothbrush as an added strength to the regular elixir.

INGREDIENTS
This is oil contains activated oxygen delivered in a 100% oxygenated hyperbaric pressure chamber. Essential Oils of Mint, Neroli, Jasmine, Spikenard, Eucalyptus, Olive, Lavender, Rose Absolute, Rose Otto, Melissa, Coconut, Licorice, Turmeric, Holy Basil, Ginger, Rosemary. Bee Health High potency propolis, bought it from ebay. This stuff is glycol and propolis that forms a thick liquid. I tried a local propolis tincture but it was crap compared to this stuff.

I blobed it on and left it overnight and had good results come morning. It great for toothache too if you get it.

Default gum disease

if you guys completely eliminated refined sugar (any derivative of cane or beet or corn), whether it's called "raw" or whatever, I guarantee you all would not have these problems with bacteria and receding gums.

if you want to eat sugar eat honey (raw, local is best), or whole leaf stevia or xylitol.

eliminate sugar from your diet, just .05 grams of it added to a processed food is enough to immediately breed the nasty bacteria in your mouth.

give it a try.
