Default Amorite Canal in Illinois Discovered

Several large canals have been documented in tributaries of the Mississippi River. With no historical records of Native Americans that were canal builders; who built the canal? The most likely people were the Amorite metal traders who were moving copper from Isle St. Royal in Lake Superior down the Mississippi River to the Gulf.

It gives me the chills (the good kind) thinking about what the ancient world was like. I am from Michigan so this copper trading between Natives and Old World peoples is extremely interesting.

I know what you mean, the more we think we know about it, we find out how little we know.
