So they secretly supplied him with shitloads of Russian stuff?

That's why I was asking and have always been a bit confused by it. Any footage of Saddam's army shows Russian tanks, missiles etc, but I'm always hearing that Britain and USA "armed Saddam".

We should keep an eye out though, I have been speaking with some people who think he narrowly avoided an assassination attempt the other day, a man standing next to him of 28 yrs of age dropped down dead of a suspected heart attack while Galloway was on the election campaign.
