I'm not sure what a "true adept" or a "true alchemist" is. Ive never met one and if I have... i didn't know it haha. You speak as if you know exactly what one is. So I can only assume that you are one, or at least that you've met one. Although I can't imagine a true alchemist who can go without eating, who can heal himself without any external assistance, and who can make "the elixir of life" (whatever that is - what is it?) spending their time on the internet arguing for or against herbal concoctions based on some arbitrary perspective about the purposes for doing so (by arbitrary I mean that the definition "alchemy" as applied to organic chemistry is really just a relative mental construct: one person might extract oil from acacia and call it "alchemy"; another might do the same and call it "naturopathy"; another might call it "magick"; another might call it "science"; another might call it "perfumery".... at the end of the day all that all of those people did was extract oil from acacia... they might all utilise different applications.. but in my opinion medicine and perfumery are the two most "magickal" or "alchemical" of lot haha).

I have to say though I would be very wary of any "true alchemist" who had chosen to use their talents and abilities to purposefully and drastically prolong their own life for any reason beyond having found someone worthy of passing their knowledge on to. It seems completely at odds with the concept of Uroboros you spoke of. If anything, someone separating themselves so totally from the rest of the cycle of life that they have no need to eat, breath, sleep, comunicate, or have any dependence whatsoever on anything outside of or beyond themselves seems like the greatest act of folly. What a lonely existence? How selfish? How egotistical?

I met a person once, who was the most "adept" person I had ever met. He was a cute and funny old balding guy who had a little pot belly and always used to wear this ripped old Led Zeppelin t-shirt. He used to teach a tarot class. After class one day we were talking and I was saying how I felt a little intimidated. I didn't feel like I was "powerful" enough or "knowlegable" enough or "whole" enough to be in that class amongst such powerful, knowlegable, whole and self confident people. He looked at me for a second and he got tears in his eyes, and then he looked off into the distance for a few seconds before saying: "you know how you can really tell the most onto it people; the most powerful adepts.... its because they are kind to everyone... and thats all we have to do.... just be kind to eachother".... I've always remembered that. I sincerely hope that I always will.

My wording of saying "True'" is my description of the Alchemist/Occultist on the higher path of Illumination, do not take it dogmatically.

Alchemists/Adepts/Occultists/Mystics work in degrees there is no 'definite' state if you will, however there is a clear path of that high Attainment that is not mired with confusion.

I am on that path set forth by Higher Initiates but I am certainly nowhere near done, a lot more preparations and training will have to be done before Great Work indeed.

It is hard to describe in mere words without betraying its splendor but if you intiuitvely understand the quotation "Waters of Life Freely and Gifts of the Spirit" you will understand (and you will if you're on the path of Cosmic Sublime Will).

Spiritual Alchemy however does not take the universal meaning that you're proposing and Magick certainly does not since the latter has specific procesess of Manifestation.

But you want to universally equate it all under the term "Practice' or "Science" then that would be fine, my specific issue was the used of Alchemy as a sort of de facto natural science when clearly Alchemy was intended in its essence as Spiritual practice. And As I have explained several times in previous posts material Alchemy (as a natural science or practice) has been demolished by Modern Science or can indeed be equated with Modern Science itself.

However Material Alchemy is more along the lines of what Posidon mentioned in his last post and even if it was taken as a left-hand material scientific practice it would be in the realm of Black Projects then anything else. In other ways Material Alchemy as a manifestation or expression of its higher spiritual aspect is Erudite or Mysterious Art.

Alchemy belongs to Occultism and Mysticism and not to Modern Science, though Material Alchemy (in its Natural scientific sense) paved the way for Modern Science.

I would think that the most horrendous acts of folly done by a 'Living Being' (more like mechanical Reptile then anything else) would be Division through War, hatred and finiteness and limiting the Inner Will by subjecting it to human mediocrity and selfishness then anything else.

You don't understand at all, the Alchemist works in Degrees and at some point his Consciousness will be so united with Sublime Cosmic Consciouness that he has very little need for physical nourishment of the outer environment, his only nourishment is Pure Light and Energy (or Life).

Of course once the Royal Marriage happens (if it has ever happened to you, which from your comments it sounds like it has not but I might be wrong) then you will know why this is so.

At some point on the Adept's path he will drop the Physical Vesture and become UNITED (not separate, exactly the opposite, he will be in pure Oneness) with the All, so much so that to a mere man he is the WORD Made manifest (the real meaning of the Christos).

At that point the Adept becomes the very Uroboros itself, not apart or separate like the ordinary man.

And no one is Lonely in this living Universe (no matter what range of the entire Human Constitution even in Nirvana itself) which is filled with a infinite Aggregate of Beings on All Planes.

There are as many different types of Adepts as there are Living Beings in the Universe, in the Divine Unity or Womb of Cosmic All they (or we as in All of Us) are one and the same but once manifested the Adept is free to follow his own Cosmic Will of his yet higher Inner Self.

They have the Wisdom and Innoncence of a Child driven by the Firey and Fervent Love for Humanity and at the same time allowing and cooperating wtih Nature (which, Nature is Universal and works in equilibrium and not in favor of a group of Beings over another).

Do not confuse Ardor with arrogance, as it is impossible in higher Alchemical ranges to be even egotistic, though as long as any being is manifest he or she will always be tempted to his lower personal desires.

Also no Adept can accomplish work while citing with consensus, conventionality, sentimentality, and mediocrity, all of these things are obstacles for the Higher Will to express itself, when one follows one's Higher Will the person will de facto become an Iconoclast.

One last thing, I understand that perhaps in fervently defending the Word of Isis I might offend or be popping a few people's bubble or toy.....

What I mean by this is....the Mystery of Illusion being played by the sometimes delightfully Unconscious indviduals that predominate the current times, I am okay it with as my intention is not to argue but to bring Light to the discussion to what is not being discussed or rarely brought forth here.

Also It is my understanding that people have their small business to run and so perhaps having a discussion of what Alchemy is may not be liked by those who wish to sell a product in relation to this topic.

I am not talking about anyone specifically, but just wanted to express this.

But if you follow the LAW of your Inner Higher Will (that is within yourself and is aligned with the Universe) then all of it will Unravel and reveal itself in no time through Higher Understanding) and everyone has the potential to accomplish Great Work (which is lifelong and arduous in some cases but a Smooth Current Flow in other ways).

You'll need this as the Mystery of the Age of Aquarius slowly unveils itself.

The path is nothing without the feet... I'm just kidding around haha!!

You need to relax. The heart gets trapped in the throat, the mind gets caught in the arse. Take a swim at high tide. A true adept would know exactly what is meant by this.

In its beginning stages certainly (and indeed the Alchemical Salt is a key ingredient in its mixture with Alchemical Sulphur), but since the Wisdom is attained through degrees on the path towards the accomplishment of the Great Work, the feet in its Malkuthian Vesture will eventually be demolish by higher Consciousness.

Unless by feet you're not talking about the Physical Vesture but the Astral Photograph and in that case it only matters in the manifest Universe.

Sorry I got distracted half way through editing my post, and then posted the edit after I discovered that you had replied... so sorry for that. Although the edit still stands...

And then what of the path?

I'm facing my own little struggle right now... Mercy, mildness, or severity...?

Yes..but I am in a Sun in Libra mindset rather then Libra exalted in Saturn...

But indeed to be in that Flow is good indeed!

I should probably say here for those who might be curious from my post upthread that I am not affiliated with any fraternities and societies and while the Secret Wisdom that resides there is certainly wise indeed, this same Wisdom is given through another channel as well.

Perhaps we might call this a channel of grace brought forth by the hierarchies of Light....that is the Light of Understanding and Inner Vision.....
