Yeah you're right. She does seem like a good role model... especially since I watched that play, she was bang on the money about a lot of things in that... although it was somewhat simplified in terms of the fictional characters involved... but yeah it was interesting to see it on mainstream tv.

Edit: I was looking for a link but can't find it.

Wow.... i'm scratching my head here. Not to be negative, but there are really no current positive female role models who get much press, only scandalous ones do. You have to look back to find them. The current trend is not really positive as far as what's being promoted.

You aren't going to find positive female roles models in the msm, not with TV like towie and big brother being rammed down our throats. Lots of girls want to emulate footballer's wives rather than be able to achieve things for themselves. Kerry Katona, Jordan and Kim Kardashian are some of the worst. Correction, Nadia Suleiman. Yuck!!!

Remember when Kinga from bb wanked herself off with a champagne bottle? Inspiring achievement wasn't it.

Not so much 'positive role models' as toilet role models.

No, although he sounds like a stuck one when he speaks.

On a side note Sasha Gray.

Maby JK Rowling is a good role model because of how she delt with her situation, but we don't know the full story.

A women who is both intelligent and caring.
As the leading female role model in my children's life I try my best to be the most positive female role model for them.

As should all mum's - that doesn't mean you are perfect - it means you explain things to them when you mess up as well as when things go great.

Looking to celebrities or strangers for a role model isn't as beneficial as you think because you don't get to see the whole person.

These women imo are incredibly brave.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011...ed-kenyan-camp

They must know there's the chance they will lose their lives and still continue to expose themselves to danger, all because they care.

Thats a moot point, If you think you know anybody as a 'whole person' your wrong. Of course everybody is 'flawed' in some way?? Even you.

You only see what people want you to see 99% of the time. and that goes for family aswell.

Or will your kids grow up and realise mummy was in fact perfect in everyway , just like they thought throughout there lives??

Yeah, they both have something very extraordinary.... they kinda go to that place of beauty and perfection that is just beyond..... descriptive words.

Marvelous extraordinary people
