Thumbs up Is the Mothman the Demon Pazuzu?

There are eerie similarities between the Mothman and the Sumerian Demon called Pazuzu who best noted in the movie the Excorcist. Native Americans also feared a red eyed, dog faced winged creature they called Piasu. Follow this link to some never before seen comparisons that may solve the mystery of the Mothman.

Default Meeting Mothman

This interest stems from this encounter I had across the river from Point Pleasant W.V. where I encountered an entitiy. Was it the Mothman? I don't know, but I do know that there seems to be increased paranormal activity around burial mound sites.

Looks like Andy Colvin might have gotten a photo of the Mothman.

Sadly the link to Andy's blog no longer works which is a shame because it contained some amazing and unique information on the case connecting it to Hindu Mythology, MIBs, black ops, hyperdimensional beings, and the Union Carbide disaster.

There's various links online to radio interviews given by Colvin so you might hear him discuss all those things there.

I really like the Mothman story, and it has been classified as a Fortean event. People saw it, encountered it, photographed it... not to mnention the Men In Black, and all the other weirdness associated with that bridge collapse in Ohio.

John Keel's book is not like the movie, the movie is tripe. I heartily recommend the Mothman Prophecies for anyone interested.

Maybe in earlier times, people referred to it as Pazuzu. I don't see why this isn't entirely possible.

I read the book a long time before I saw the movie. The book is an account of the goings on and sightings prior to the bridge collapse in Ohio in the '60's, John Keel's life after reporting all of this, and strange occurrences that plagued him.

The movie is not like the book at all. The book is unsettling but fascinating, and maybe more scary than the movie, because it's based on actual happenings. John Keel is represented in the movie as a slightly crazed author named John Leek.

I first heard about this when I got a UFO encyclopaedia on my 8th birthday.

I remember going to my Mum in tears not long afterwards and when she asked what was wrong I told her I couldn't decide what I wanted to be when I grew up: Batman or Mothman.

...I compromised later on and settled on Orgazmo.

Look up "Indrid Cold" because he was a central player in the book and was possibly some kind of alien/MIB/demon that semed to be orchestrating events.

Here's an interview from 1966 with Woody Derenger (he was the guy in the movie who froze to death) talking on the day after his encounter with the real life Indrid Cold.

I think Keel speculated that Indrid Cold was a walking manifestation of electricity that was coming from another dimension. Something like that. I shouldn't say "speculated", it was more like he concluded that.

In English the term 'boogeyman' is not taken seriously and is only used to refer to any nondescript monster that might scare little kids.

such a shame all the links are dead, is there backup pictures or a google cache of the website somewhere?
