Yep, kinda like knocking on wood, or making the symbol of the cross would ward off bad luck.

Well of course, the original meaning came from Baphomet unless I'm wrong. But sure, I do agree that most people do it because they want to appear "in" or cool. When thousands of kids are using this symbol at a concert though the energy level and vibration for it's original meaning is exemplified, therefore the danger of using it.

Yes a certain top band had all their audience doing it at the surfers do I went to last year. I walked away dismayed.
