Default community startup

lots of people on here want to move to they're own community and start living sustainably. if you are willing to contribute financially as part of a group purchasing land can be as inexpensive as 10000 euros so five people can join together and startup if this interests you, post here.

or alternatively just troll and flame this post and any other people who think this can be a reality.

Where do you have in mind where land is that price or is that the acre price?

http://translate.google.co.uk/transl...Catanzaro.html

maybe not the easiest, where is the best country to do this with as little red tape as possible?.

Out side of europe..Morroco? russia? mongolia?
But the Spanish authorities are quite slack..But a lot of mayors have been prisoned/fined for their slackness of late and things change quick.

How ever wonderfull hard wroking dedicated people with the help of 100s people world wide have just won a 4 1/2 year battle with authorities in UK to live on their land..Which i suppose sets precedent..But they are only one family and they had a dedicated permaculture project to support them.

I was thinking what you guys want to do sounds like a kibbutz. They have them in Israel.

You probably could buy your own land in Australia and either do it in the hot harsh dessert lands or near the coast and just drive down to the beach for a swim... Australia has 3000 or 4000 kms of coastland and mostly just bush with towns and large cities every 1000kms. Wish my wife would be interested but she likes 5 star accommodation.

Lol, just visiting relatives in Australia is already a nightmare, let alone getting
a permit to live there and become nationalized. Australian authorities absolutely
hate foreigners, almost as much as they hate the aboriginals, and they will do
anything they can to keep you out of "their" country.

That's why they have the most fascistic customs in the world.. you cough once
in the airport and you get subjected to a full body cavity examination by a dude
with fingers like saucages. When you dare fart, you get arrested for pollution.

One time a homosexual man had an orgasm because the customs guy kept
rubbing and groping his groin, the poor guy got instantly arrested at gun point
for sexual assault on an official.

Before the english invaded Australia, comitted genocide on the natives and
ravaged the lands, it was the most amazing country in the world though. But
there is hope, more and more white people are leaving Australia because the
sun there is becoming too damaging for their skin. Maybe someday Australia
will be returned to its rightful inhabitants and the oppression will stop.

We have just bought a derilict farm in portuguese Serra Da Acor mountains with buildings, fresh water, mature trees, irrigation, terraces etc.

There are loads of bits of land around there for sale and the terraces/buildings are of a beautiful slate known as Xisto..... its like a lakedistrict slate but slightly more rusty..... absolutely beautiful and stunning workmanship.

With the rise of capitalism, the kids are all in Lisbon or Porto and the old village folks dont have anyone to hand the land down to as the kids dont want to be farmers.

The locals are welcoming as they need new blood, willing to sell on, willing to help in the passing on of skills and knowlege.

Each village has a council - if they are happy you are moving in, they will look the other way whilst you move into a barn and live a simple life.

yep it would be good to be able to do this in the uk but price makes that very difficult in the uk for most, and the sunshine helps things grow better.

hey gt looked at your links im sure lots of people will want to explore this area on holidays in the summer and more people like yourselves will want to buy there with the mountains and the countryside and the sunshine you'll have it made. lots of other eco sites in the area as well so you should look them up.
