Question Will there always be government?

Every once in a while a nation falls, there are a few years of turmoil before other powers, other 'governments' take over. This seemingly unstoppable force has been repeated throughout history, and is what we are now witnessing with the Arab Spring.

But now I'm asking you. Why does this happen? Is it because there will always be men and women with the lust for power, or is it because governance helps people to organise into a more efficient system which outwits the rest?

And also for the benefit of people who disagree: Do you think there is a way of ending government without 'governance' and can this system ever be efficient?

Naha but is that also a government?

I suppose the way to describe a 'government' is a leader or body that manages a community. A community as in a 'state' or a 'country'; it could also refer to a tribe.

Seems it's true, we always get the governments we deserve.

As long as a critical mass of people are looking outside to solve problems ("something must be done" instead of "we can do something"), and they can't imagine a society in the form of anarchic self-organization, we will have government. Government that will always eventually become wasteful, then in a attempts to hide their mistakes abusive, because absolute power always corrupts absolutely in the end.

Yes, but as is now, it will only work for those who believe in it.

But you know, the only upside of anarchism seems to be 'there is no authoritarian government'.

What about the sort of government that tells you to avoid landmines? What about a government that ensures everyone has equal access to schools?

I really can't imagain any kind of utopia with anarchism. I just see smaller and smaller states and other governance taking control. People are inherently selfish even with things like affection and sympathy.

Sorry if I'm such a downer.

A world without authority would be a very dangerous place for most people.

However we need a charitable and trusted government based on help and support and for human rights as opposed to this greedy corrupt government based on power and buisness

But which is better, revolution or progressivism? I think revolution is only an emegency strategy, and we are not as bad off as some. I mean you wouldn't want the next Kim Jong Il after the peoples' revolution.

I am not really for the revolution no. The revolution is ran by too many nutters whos biggest crime is no respect.
I far prefer something along the lines of what we have, but need to improve on it, but ffs lets take some control of the world financial situation and away from those greedy illuminated satanic bankers. No way should we be living in luxury while kids in 3rd world countries are starving. Lets share and share alike and make our government better understanding more humane human beings and power and money is not everything....I am not actually even against the NWO, i think ran properly it could be a good thing, just would be worries what greedyB gonna be at the top of the pyramid ladder...Has to be a group that are ran by a trust and non commercial
