After 37 years at home, sinkhole sends them packing.
An 80-foot-long, 40-foot-wide sinkhole that opened in their backyard late Friday and early Saturday was continuing to grow. Friends from their church, West Gainesville Church of Christ, stopped by after services Sunday to get a look for themselves. They hugged the Mathenys and offered their help. Rachael Smith, a friend from church, said Sunday that the area between the sinkhole and the house had sunk down even further since Saturday, suggesting the hole was spreading. “It is surreal,” Smith said... “The first time I saw it,” Robin said with a laugh, “the first thing I said is, ‘Ready to move?' ” PEOPLE NEED TO GET READY TO MOVE... VENUS TRANSFORMED: Something special is happening to Venus in the evening sky. The second planet is diving toward the sun for a much-anticipated transit on June 5-6. As Venus turns its night side toward Earth, the planet is transforming into a beautifully slender and colorful crescent:
 The crescent shape of Venus is easy to see in good binoculars or small telescopes. No special observing experience is required. Just find Venus in the western sky after sunset (you can't miss it), point and look. A good tripod to hold the optics steady is recommended. As the evening wears on and Venus sinks toward the horizon, the refractive effect of Earth's atmosphere splits the crescent into the colors of the rainbow. Kevin R. Interesting thread. As of lately I've been experiencing my own sort of '11' anomalies. 8 times out of 10, for at least a year now, whenever I glance at a clock I find that the time always falls on a number that includes the number '11' e.g. 4:11, 2:11, 10:11 etc. It's almost a feeling of magnetism as if something on the subconscious level is giving me the urge to glance or turn my head precisely at the time that the clock displays a time with the number 11...Very puzzling stuff which feels like more then just coincidence.
