Default Alternatives to eating cereals for breakfast?

Milk isn't good for you, soy isn't much better, and I don't wanna eat so much wheat, so what do people have instead of cereals for breakfast? And don't say anything bread related cos I'll only have that at lunch.

I was experimenting with Ryvita and hummous last week, but the latter only stays good for 2 days according to the packet.

Flapjacks FTW - oats, medjool dates, honey, butter, nuts/seeds, brown sugar&peanut butter(optional)

Oats with freshly-squeezed orange juice

Banana and full-fat yogurt smoothie with strawberries/blueberries/raspberries etc

Mashed sweet potato with poached eggs

Scrambled egg and bacon

Irish soda bread with butter and jam - wheat free

Bowl of mixed fruit

Whenever I put spirulina into a smoothie it doesn't properly blend and gets into clumps and sticks to the bottom. And when I sprinkle it on food, it tastes so disgusting and ruins my food. And if I try mixing it into a drink it turns into gloopy paint.

How are we meant to get this stuff into our bodies?

I usually want an organic orange or two or some fresh pineapple. I think the sweetness helps get my system going.

I used to eat be an avid cereal eater for about twenty years; definitely something NOT to do.

An orange or two, definitely.

If you absolutely MUST have cereal and want a milk alternative, try almond or coconut milk..?

But an orange or two has been my breakfast for a few weeks now.

Very healthy.

In fact, sometimes I go the whole day with just oranges.

Peace.

How do you both get by on eating 2 oranges for breakfast? Are you very short, skinny and inactive?

Illuminating.

I always heard the rumor the Euros thought of meat and eggs/dairy products as improper for breakfast; it was always taught that Euros regarded fruits and light fare as proper - which is odd as they only in recent human history had the advantage of fruit in the common diet.

This is a truly enjoyable learning experience that I appreciate. Thank you. May this thread dispel myths.

3 cups of coffee and 4 cigarettes normally do the trick.

Nice.

But I think this thread is about regular people who must adhere to a rigid schedule on a limited budget with limited time to spare to rise and shower and go to work like everyone else.

I'm 6'3, some muscle, and workout twice a day. Its not like I eat two oranges a day. I just usually have heavier foods (nuts) later.

I admire your discipline.

I heard that the metabolism is greater upon waking so a person should engage in the heavier meal - rumor only.
