Default Q&A site for Audio Recording and Production

Hi there all you artsy and musical girls and boys,

A while ago, I have filed a proposal for an Audio Recording and Production section at a very popular Questions & Answer website called StackExchange.

Only a few people more are needed to "commit" to that section in order to make it a reality. You can commit here:

Stack Exchange Area51 Staging Zone: Proposal for Audio Recording and Production

(The nice "Aliens theme" of that staging site is purely coincidential. )

This commitment process is part of the concept the website owners have worked out based on their own experiences in other areas. It has proven to be necessary in order to give new proposals the necessary initial momentum and drive.

Once the proposal is up and running, you'll be notified. Then you can ask all kind of questions there you have about recording and producing music (or other audio like sound effects or podcasts), and you will receive answers within minutes from the very enthusiastic, dedicated and helpful community.

You can of course also give answers to other people's questions. Good questions and answers will earn you reputation points if people vote them up. The more reputation points you have, the more you can do on that site. That way, you can make yourself and your band or your recording studio popular. This concept has been proven to be very successul and has been fine-tuned more and more in the last years. You can see it in action on websites like StackOverflow for software developers or SuperUser for computing power users.

So, have fun there.
