Anyone else watching it on the news find it funny that the ones doing damage to property, spray painting etc. are always agent provacateur types with hoods and scarfs?

Sure, it's to conceal identity. How is it 1% of the protesters are violent? If it was that big and bad a cause, wouldn't it be 100% turning violent?

It gives the media and the cops an excuse to use force and distort the message. Job done.

Until the students etc connect the dots, they are fighting for the scraps from their masters tables. On the other hand I would be a liar if I didn't say I found the occupation of Tory headquarters etc fleetingly thrilling and can see where the o.p is coming from. "I hate the Romans as much as anyone" the only thing these bastards will listen to is mass revolt/disobedience occupation, forced redistribution of wealth, property and power. If I was religious I'd pray for it, if I was less cynical I would be an anarchist. In the words of Tracy chapman when are people gonna rise up and take what's theirs? How much further can they bend over before something snaps?

+1 I wish I could have made today's march in Liverpool. The students may not see the full picture yet, but at least they're taking action and feeling passion. Little acorns develop into great oaks; now if there are any decent flyers, people could take them to the next one

Intuition and a bit of common sense is telling me they WANT violence, to justify a higher police presence, they manufactured this, they knew all these cuts would piss people off.

I don't think so, i saw a fair number of the middle class student types at readin festival, setting fire to tents, and attacking people/throwing misiles at police and stewards, and before the first london student protest (Which i attended) there was some people i know of, who where getting rallied up to get up to some mischief

True, but to be honest, riots and disturbances are far more common than the MSM tend to show, i reckon you probably get 20x more disorder at a millwall category A game than at a student protest
