Lightbulb George Washington was a Grand Master Mason

Every scholar knows that George Washington was a Freemason and a Grand Master Mason at that! In downtown Alexandria, VA there is the George Washington National Masonic Monument. Here are a few excerpts from the book George Washington's Sacred Fire by Peter A. Lillback (Providence Forum, 2006)...

"In 1752, when George Washington reached the age of 20, he was inducted as an Entered Apprentice Mason in the Fredericksburg Lodge. Thereafter, Masonry plays an important, if discreet part in his life, as it did among many of the Founding Fathers. Indeed, it is true to say that Masonry was one of the intellectual building blocks of the Revolution. GW allowed lodges to flourish in several of his war camps. It was a link with advanced thinking in France."

Re: the Masonic teaching of immortality,

"a foundational claim of the Masonic order is eternal life, symbolized in their ritual of burial by a sprig of the acacia tree, a symbol to them of eternal life." p. 504

"his membership in the Masonic Order also supports the evidence that shows that Washington believed in immortality." p. 507

"George Washington's funeral service followed the Masonic rite."

This last excerpt was from the back page of the book. If you didn't know it was about George Washington, it might have been from a book on Robert E. Lee or Dwight D. Eisenhower...

"...this awe-inspiring role model for all generations. Dr. Peter A. Lillback paints a picture of a man, who, faced with unprecedented challenges and circumstances, ultimately drew upon his persistent qualities of character - honesty, justice, equity, perseverance, piety, forgiveness, humility, and servant leadership, to become one of the most revered figures in world history."

are you going to take this blurb and post it in 5 different threads?

Once is more than enough. If no one comments on it the first time you post it, posting it 4 more times won't garner response either.

More nonsense - I wish non-Masons would stop posting rubbish on this forum (they clearly do no proper research).

The fact is that George Washington never accepted the offer of Grand Master. He was never even WM of a lodge.

Read this and get educated - http://www.adsmithlor1949.org/Transa...c%20Career.pdf

That is a fact according to Freemason's. Freemason's don't lie do they?
Is this what you consider "proper" research?

What about the George Washington masonic Memorial:

http://www.gwmemorial.org/index.php

is that not "proper" enough for you? Looks to me like there's a masonic connection there.

"to ispire humanity through education
to emulate and promote the virtues, character
and vision of George Washinton, the man
the MASON and father of our Country."

right on the front page.

From Wikipedia:

"On November 4, 1752, George Washington was initiated into Freemasonry in Fredericksburg lodge.[90] On April 29, 1788, he was appointed Worshipful Master of Alexandria Lodge 22,[91] and held that office when he was elected President of the United States. At his inauguration, the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of New York administered his oath of office. On September 18, 1793, he laid the cornerstone of the U.S. Capitol wearing full Masonic Grand Master regalia."

This is a classic example of non-Masons posting copy/paste messages that they do not fully understand! That is how rubbish is spread on the internet. Yes, GW was a Freemason. It seems he was elected a WM but not installed and neither was he ever a GM. Wikipedia is not 100% reliable (mostly copy/paste stuff) and the GWMM site is not completely accurate either. There is much confusion about this. For a full explanation of this matter read the previous link I provided - http://www.adsmithlor1949.org/Transa...c%20Career.pdf - and this one as well. - http://jonrowe.blogspot.com/2004/08/...ington-as.html

I agree. George Washington was a Freemason, but NOT a Grand Master. He was a Master Mason elected as Master of an individual lodge, a position that he did not exercise due to other more pressing affairs of state.

Sofa Queen,

The op is original and is NOT copied anywhere else on this forum, so what is your f---ing problem? I've quoted here from a book that was just released. None of those quotes are located anywhere else on this forum. If I'm wrong, show me! I have written the threads Freemasonry & Reincarnation + George Washington reincarnated as Robert E. Lee. Is there some material that's common to these three threads? Yes. Can somebody plagiarize from their own writing? The three posts/threads are quite different.

Whether you like it or not, the information I've provided about GW being a Master mason and being reincarnated as Robert E. Lee who was reincarnated as Dwight D. Eisenhower is true. The question about whether GW was, in fact, a Grand Master Mason is just that - a question! The sources that I have - including those in charge at the George Washington National Masonic Monument in Alexandria, VA - say that he was. But as a researcher, I'm certainly interested in hearing from other reliable sources whether they agree or conflict.

Sofa Queen, like I said just now on another thread, today is your Judgment Day - you FAIL F. Please don't write on my threads anymore and I promise not to write on yours. Thank you.

Lightbulb 'Seal #7': Theory of Reincarnation w/ examples

Partly because of the discussions I've had on disclose.tv/forum and this forum regarding George Washington reincarnated as Robert E. Lee reincarnated as Dwight D. Eisenhower and Marilyn Monroe reincarnated as Janet Jackson, I decided to add that to the cover of my booklet. I also included Ben Franklin reincarnated as Abe Lincoln reincarnated as Albert Einstein. Please see Bible's '7 Seals' revealed! Beyond Einstein http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showt...134905&page=12
